2011 sees the culmination of various projects for Tony including the release of his new solo album 'reflector' on 21st October, 2011 on the new sunn creative music label. Recorded in his new studio in Dorset over the last year, there are new tracks written by Tony; one collaboration with Lisa Tenzin-Dolma , 'Mirror to Mirror', and one song, 'Fly with Angels', co-written with Alison Fleming. This
album sees a more guitar based approach to the songs but is still very melodic and has excellent reviews.
He
is working with Simon Townshend on his new material and Simon will release his new album in early 2012. Tony will be playing guitar and keyboards in Simon's UK 'SECRET WEAPON TOUR'. Simon, Roger Daltrey and his band have been tourning the US see - Roger
Daltrey and Simon Townshend’s ‘Tommy’.
Tony collaborated with Yumi Hara Cawkwell; 'Dream of the Gryllidae' in 2010, they have donated all proceeds from this CD to the pet rescue operation in Japan, Inu Neko Kyusai no Wa (Circle for welfare of Dogs and Cats).
He has recently produced two
songs for Gari Glaysher's CD 'Somewhere'; one written by Tony and one
co-written with Gari. The album is already receiving a lot of interest and
promises to be a big success for Gari this year. As Tony said, "Gari Glaysher has an amazing operatic voice, he is such a powerful and passionate
vocalist, it will be interesting to see what we come up with."
Tony is also working on the third
album with Alison Fleming and some truly great songs are emerging. This one
probably won't be finished until 2012. Tony and Alison are both busy writing new material on both sides of the Atlantic.
A documentary film about the making of the project 'All of the Above' will be released along with a re-mastered version of the CD including new graphics. The film, currently being edited, will include some footage from the live performance in London as well as some beautifully created visuals and an interview with Tony. Although this project is on hold for the time being due to time constraints, it is still in the works.
Tony played a set live at the Bedford in London for Peace Day in autumn 2011.
From the Founder of 12seconds for Peace - Steve Gooch
"'12seconds for Peace' is a new venture into collaborative video-arts
and is designed to raise the energy of manifestation for peace on our
planet and in our individual hearts and minds. When humanity manifests
internal peace and recognises the natural order of the human condition,
then peace in the world will follow. The proceeds from 12seconds for
Peace will go to support and aid the various good causes of a number of
charitable and non-profit organisations around the world.'"
We had the pleasure of working and visiting with Steve
this summer, who is a man with hidden depths, amazing
stories and sincere passion for peace and other humanitarian projects
and pursuits. As an active participant in his innovative 12seconds for
Peace project, I was curious about Steve's history and background. We
found him to be enlightening, interesting and sensitive. My interview with Steve is the next podcast in String's Creative Alchemy Podcasts,
a series dedicated to exploring the worlds of multi-faceted creators,
the alchemy of intuition and empathy, and unusual areas of science and
health.
Tony Lowe, Kathleen Proctor-Moore, Gari Glaysher, Ali Kesanto (Vast
Days), Tommie Brewster, Elio Scaccio, Derek Stewart Macpherson of The
Babel Fish Project, were inspired to reach out and help those in need
around the world from devastating earthquakes and their after effects.
Inspired to put an eclectic mix of their music compilation together, all proceeds are donated to the Red Cross.

Although Ben's only on vocals in this one, he has drummed with a few

Listen to this fascinating podcast with Lisa Tenzin-Dolma on her
soon to be published book '(Teach Yourself) Take Control with Astrology'
- (Hodder, January 2010) and about dog psychology and rescue dogs. Lisa
Tenzin-Dolma is the author of thirteen self-help books, a novel, a
screenplay, and over 500 magazine articles on a wide variety of
subjects. She is involved with the US film industry as Special
Consultant to films.
String met Lisa in 2008, and read four of her books, reviewing two
of them. Lisa is an amazing author and persona; her astrological reading
for String for the podcast was unnervingly accurate.
